Is your Website Costing you Clients?

Having a website is great, but if it’s not turning visitors into clients, something’s up.

Potential clients are visiting your website looking for information. They want to know where you’re located, when you’re open, what services you offer, what your work looks like, whether they can afford to book with you, and how to book with you.

This means your website should include:

  • Your operating hours

  • Your address

  • A service and/or product menu

  • Pricing

  • High quality pictures of your work and your space

  • Some sort of online booking or appointment request feature

  • Answers to FAQs

And if your website visitors are anything like me, they probably also want to know what kind of experience they can expect – the vibe, the extras, and if they feel like they’d get along with you and/or your team.

This means your website should also have:

  • An “About” page where you introduce yourself and your business/team

  • Consistent branding (color scheme, font, mood, logos, etc.) reflective of your salon culture

  • Links to your social media

But that’s not all. Website visitors want to be able to navigate your site easily from their phone. Your website design must be mobile friendly and load quickly. Finally, broken links, typos, and complicated language can be frustrating and cause people to click off your site before booking so make sure to avoid those things.
